• A track I had in my Favorites and Playlist is gone. What happened to it?
    Categories: All, Music Library
Very rarely we may need to remove a track from the site. Feel free to contact us for specific information on the removal of a track you might have been interested in.
  • Can I get The License Lab music on CDs?
    Categories: All, Legal
No. We believe the environmental impact, storage space hassles, and extra expense for everyone involved are no longer worth the effort, and we’ve built our business model on the concept of a continuous stream of new music… no more needing to wait for CDs to be finished, mastered, manufactured, packaged, delivered, imported, and organized.
  • Does The License Lab contain any re-titled songs from bands or indie artists?
    Categories: All, Legal
No. We believe in the significant benefits for our clients provided by exclusivity in licensed music. We maintain a list of friendly and helpful re-title non-exclusive libraries to whom we regularly refer new customers who may be better suited by the non-exclusive business model… happy to help, just send us an email.
  • Do you accept submissions from new composers?
    Categories: All, Production Music
We’re always interested in finding new people who are passionate about making music. The best way to see if we’re a good fit is to send us A LINK to some of your best tracks (PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT ATTACH AUDIO FILES TO YOUR EMAIL). Be advised that given our current production commitments, we're not always able to respond as quickly as we like, and we're extremely selective about the projects we consider.
  • Does The License Lab offer music on hard drives?
    Categories: All, Production Music
For some clients hard drives make the most sense or are a legal necessity. If you think you’re in this position, give us a shout by email or phone and we’ll set you up.
  • How much music does The License Lab release online each year?
    Categories: All, Music Library
As much as possible. Really. We’re committed to releasing at least 10 new tracks every week, and so far we’re way ahead of that schedule.
  • Is the music at The License Lab copyright-free or royalty-free?
    Categories: All, Credits

  • Can The License Lab help me find the right music for my project?
    Categories: All, Credits

  • Can I use The License Lab music without paying for it?
    Categories: All, Credits

Get in touch with us, tell us about your project, and we'll find a way to work within the budgets typical for your industry.
